칠한 날개와 거대한 반지들은 다른 장난감들에 밀려나고

 

One grey night it happened Jackie Paper came no more

And Puff that mighty dragon he ceased his fearless roar

어느날 밤부터 재키(Jackie Paper)는 오지않았고

거대한 용, 퍼프의 고함소리는 더이상 들리지 않았습니다. 

 

His head was bent in sorrow green scales fell like rain

Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane Without his life long friend

그는 슬픔으로 고개를 떨구었고 비늘은 비처럼 떨어졌습니다.

퍼프는 그의 오랜 친구가 없는 체리나무 오솔길에는 더이상 놀러가지 않았습니다.
